Pak Ou Caves
The Pak Ou Caves are one of the most treasured religious symbols of Luang Prabang Province. Several legends tell stories of this site where, over the years, thousands of Buddha statues have been deposited.
The entrance to the caves is a masterpiece. The stairs, even though they are steep, are well looked after and equipped for many visitors. This religious site is very much visited today by tourists, so please do not expect to be on your own.
You will be pleased to discover these two caves for their individual character as well as for the 4000 statues representing Buddha in all shapes and sizes.
Nava Mekong
Pak Ou Cruise
Widened at the beam to accommodate 10 four-top tables, the traditional Lao river boat also embarks every morning at 10:00 am for a four-hour lunch cruise. During this cruise, the Nava stops at the Pak Ou Caves for adventuring among the 4,000 sacred Buddhist statues and images scattered about the two limestone grottoes.
The price is US$25 per person.
Sunset Cruise
The sunset cruise in Luang Prabang embarks daily at 5:00 pm and motors downstream to moor near a traditional village where traditional Lao dancers perform age-old sets that include interpretations of the royal ballet, rural life, folk tales and legends. The boat returns at 7:00 pm.
The price is US$30 per person.
Khopfa Mekong Cruise

A new boat with lounge and relax terraces, sofas and massage armchairs, bar and tapas food service. All you have to do is to enjoy the beauty of the Mekong and relax as our boat takes you along stunning sunset sceneries in the Luang Prabang area…
The Khopfa boat is specially designed to give you 360° views of the sceneries from its terraces, so that you can enjoy every minute of your Sunset Cruise.
The boat sails for 2 hours, and the Sunset Cruise starts between 4.15pm and 5.30pm depending on the season and the sunset time.
Lunch Cruise to Kuang Si Waterfall

8.30 am The boat leaves The Belle Rive Hotel’s peer
While we cruise, you can be served a breakfast or fresh fruit juices.
We will also make you discover the different seasonal fruits af Laos.
10 am Visit of the Waterfalls
The best moment to discover the waterfalls is in the morning when the crowd is not yet arrived. That’s why we favor an early arrival, so that you can fully enjoy the beauty of the Kuang Si Waterfalls.
1 pm The boat leaves to Luang Prabang
On the way back to Luang Prabang, we will serve you a 4 course lao lunch (see menu below).
We go slowly back to the city so that you can relax and enjoy your lunch, with no rush and in the stressless Lao way of life.
3 pm The boat arrives at The Belle Rive Hotel’s peer
